Date: 21 Jun 2024

Time: 7 pm - 9 pm

Venue: Elland Community Hub, Elland

Curious Motion are excited to invite you to their very first event in the newly renovated space at Elland Community Hub. Join us for an evening of music, dance, food and community as we come together to celebrate diversity and unity.

The event will take place on Fri Jun 21 2024 at 19:00 at Elland Community Hub.

Enjoy live performances from:

Annapurna Indian Dance: celebrating stories and community through graceful and rhythmic Indian Dances from Calderdale’s very own Annapurna Indian Dance company.

Mahshid Alavi and Ozzy Moysey: featuring words, movement and sound, this performance merges the essence of water with childhood memories and dreams. Drawing inspiration from Persian mythology and Mahshid’s own recollections of memories in the North of Iran, it crafts a poignant narrative that explores themes around migration.

Let’s celebrate together and embrace the beauty of different cultures.

Refugee Week is the world’s largest arts and culture festival celebrating the contributions, creativity, and resilience of refugees and people seeking sanctuary. This year, the festival theme is ‘Our Home’ – from the places we gather to share meals to our collective home, planet earth: everyone is invited to celebrate what our Our Home means to them.
