Vacancy: Director!

We are looking for someone with passion and energy to lead our organisation into the next stage of our development in embedding a culture of welcome across Calderdale for people seeking sanctuary.

If this sounds like you, we want to hear from you!

Are you compassionate, a good listener and believe in our collective strength across communities? Do you have a track record of working in partnership and collaborating across a wide range of stakeholders? Can you drive organisational change and deliver our strategy and evaluation framework?Do you believe in an organisational culture that empowers and nurtures staff, volunteers and trustees?  Do you have the ability to secure future funding and to work under your own initiative?

Our outgoing Director Tina says:

“This is a genuinely rewarding role for someone who wants to make a difference while having the opportunity to shape and develop an organisation. As outgoing Director, I can guarantee no two days are the same — from working with local partners, to influencing strategy, developing new opportunities and advocating for people seeking sanctuary.

CVoS is a small organisation with a great team, there is real scope to bring ideas, build relationships and make things happen. It is challenging work, but it is also hugely meaningful. I would absolutely recommend the role to someone who is passionate about creating welcome.

I’m leaving CVoS for purely personal reasons and I’m very pleased to be able to recommend the role and the organisation to its next Director. It has been a privilege to work for CVoS for even a short time and I hope the next person will find the role as rewarding as I have”.
