Date: 18 Jun 2025

Time: 10 am - 5:30 pm

Venue: Central Halifax Library, Square Rd, Halifax HX1 1QG

Drop in any time during the day to experience a selection of locally-created films, curated especially for Refugee Week. No need to book – films will be shown on a loop throughout the day.

Featuring:
A powerful collection of short films created by women with lived experience of seeking sanctuary, as part of the
Inside Out project (Hebden Bridge Film Festival & Culturedale).

These films offer deeply personal reflections on identity, resilience, and the gap between how we see ourselves and how we are seen by others — especially through the lens of displacement and invisibility.

🎥 Featuring work by:
Diana Katherine Cortes, Virginia Cerda Garcia, Stacy Rebet, Souad Amine Khodja, and Alaa Alzuhaily

Also showing:
Home Ground by Matt Radcliffe – a documentary about the St Augustine’s Football Team and the power of community, recently premiered at Hebden Bridge Picture House.

Come, watch, reflect, and witness these vital stories.
