Artworks is a not for profit organisation that champions the value of creativity in everyday life and connects people with art through a varied programme of activities and opportunities.
They are based at Shaw Lodge Mills, an 1830’s textile mill just 10 minutes walk from Halifax Train Station.
Artworks offer FREE and subsidised places to people experiencing mental health challenges, economic hardship and social isolation. They have also started a “Studios of Sanctuary” scheme through which they provide studio space specifically for people seeking asylum and refugees to encourage and develop their art.
