#HERE I AM
In the middle of lockdown April 2020 the people of Calderdale were invited to take part in a unique art project to celebrate our Valley of Sanctuary.
People of Calderdale, here we are. Wherever you’re from, whatever communities you’re part of, we are all united in being in the same place at this unique moment in time. Who are you? What do you imagine? For yourself, this place, and the future?’
A wide range of rich creative pieces were received from all ages and parts of the community – poems, drawings, songs, films, letters, paintings, zoom calls and recipes!
Together they show the wonderful creativity and diversity of the people of Calderdale – their lives, homes, experiences of lockdown, connections to other nations, and a strong sense of community.
